The operations at Sea Hospital were not infected, and the firemen said there didn't seem to have been any injuries. The pit ate some cars.
The local district hospital said the hole was 20m deep and opened at dusk, writes The Guardian, accompanying Periscopi.

Ennio Aquilino, chief of the fire brigade, told Italian television that this may have been caused by a water exploration by recent torrential rains.
Recent reports have mentioned the regional governor, saying the residence for Ovid 19 would be re-opened within days, after electricity and water services were restored. /Periscope
