Germany will not be able to remove all measures aimed at curbing the spread of coronary in early February, said Germany's Health Minister Jens Spahn.

“One thing is clear: it will not be possible to abolish all restrictions on February 1st”, Spahn told deutschlandfunk radio on Wednesday, adding that it would take two or three months to achieve the effects of the vaccine campaign.

Bild magazine reported on Tuesday that Chancellor Angela Merkel had said at a meeting of lawmakers that current isolation measures could last until early April.

The German cabinet will meet Wednesday to approve stricter controls for people entering Germany.

Under new regulations, travelers from high-ranking countries of the infected, or those in which a new version of the Coronavirus is being circulated, will be required to take a test of the coronary.

German Institute for Infectious Diseases Robert Koch (RKI) reported on Wednesday 19,600 new cases of coronary infected people
