“are sick and sad images”.
The election results are thus opposed to a republic-run banana, not in our democratic republic”, Bush said.
He said he is “terrified of the reckless behaviour of some political leaders”, since the November 3rd presidential election, but did not mention current President Donald Trump, nor his supporters.
On Wednesday, violent Trump supporters attacked the U.S. Congress building, which was holding a confirmation hearing for elected President Joe Biden.
Republican Senator Mitt Romney condemned the “uprising”, which, as he said, “has been prompted by the president of the United States”.
Those who support Trump, Romney said, “will be seen forever as accomplices in an unprecedented attack against our democracy”.
