Bill Gates has shared his prediction that he believes life will return to normal as the world begins to disseminate COVID-19 vaccines.
In a post on his blog, Gates, who founded Microsoft, said 2020 was a devastating “ ”, but he believes there are good “s will come in 2021”.
He warned that people “will be much closer to normal than now” from spring.
Gates said major changes will begin to occur when vaccines and treatments “begin to reach the degree where they will have a global impact”.
“There are two main reasons for hope. One is that masks, social distance and other interventions can slow the spread of the virus and save lives while vaccines are spreading, and the other reason to be hopeful is that in the spring of 2021, vaccines and treatments you have read about in the news will begin to reach the scale where they will have a global impact”, he said.
The billionaire also praised scientists worldwide, including Pfizer and Oxford AstraZeneca newly approved, to work together
