Today at 6 a.m., the extraordinary session of the Kosovo Assembly will be held for sending the KSF on missions with the National Aleva Guard.
At the request of the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Avdullah Hoti, an extraordinary session of the Kosovo Assembly, will be held by today from 6:00 today, with a single drop of the agenda. Making the decision to co-Send the Kosovo Security Force contingent on missions abroad with the Atava National Guard”, the media communiqué from the Prime Minister's office said.
On the basis of the United States' invitation, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo on December 31st, 2021, has approved the decision to co-Send the Kosovo Security Force contingent on missions abroad with the National Guard of Aiva. This decision has been sent to the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament with the proposal for sending the KSF contingent to missions for support of regional stability and peacekeeping operations, under the US Central Command. The decision is based on the memorandum the Government of the Republic of Kosovo has signed with the US Embassy, for sending the Kosovo Security Force to missions abroad, along with the National Guard of Ajova”, is said further in the media communiqué.
While the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo have declared they support the KSF's commitment to peacekeeping missions.
While days earlier, Lieutenant General Beftman Rama in the interview given for Kosovo Press has indicated that the Kosovo Security Force in spring this year is expected to join American soldiers in peacekeeping missions.
