Many bridges have collapsed as a cause of floods in Gjakova, while there are over 80 persons who have been evacuated as a result of floods in their basements and homes. Over 70 people are continuing to stay at Gjakova Airport, while 15 others are staying with their relatives.
Director for Protection and Rescue Vehat Hoxhaj shows the situation in the municipality of Gjakova, while adding that after the rains during Sunday, several bridges have collapsed.
The situation has now calmed down, we are now dealing more strongly with the damaged parties that now have demands to go to make a damage investigation. We've actually had most of the trouble dealing with floods of basements, homes, such as urban areas, two days after we were confirmed by areas outside the village. On Sunday, however, we have suffered considerable damage after 22: 00 p.m., which has damaged several bridges on the side of the road infrastructure. Some collapses of the earth, but fortunately the victims of people do not have”, he said.
Hoxhaj says they are working 24 hours to be in the protection of citizens. For Kosova Prees, he also cites the cases of several family members who have houses near the Crena River and near the Lucac River bed, which he says were the most endangered parts.

He expresses concern that with the snowfall that continues today, the situation will deteriorate again.
