A Pfizer spokeswoman in Denmark has stated that the company wants to achieve its target in producing two billion doses for 2021, thus adding production.
“As a consequence, fewer doses will be available for European countries in late January and early February”, Pfizer's spokeswoman has said, broadcast Klan Kosova.
In this regard, Health Ministers in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden have written a joint letter they sent to the European Commission, viewing as unacceptable the situation of not handing over vaccine doses.
This not only affects the planned vaccine schedules, but also reduces the reliability of the vaccine process”, the minister's letter says.
They call on the bloc's health commissioner to emphasise Pfizer “the need to ensure stability and transparency of remittances at the time”, Euronea writes.
