The European Commission proposed a new package of measures to limit travel, with the goal of curbing the spread of a new type of coronary.
The proposal contains additional co-ordination in two areas, where member states have already agreed to work together. These include updates of the color code for dangerous countries and stricter measures for travelers from higher - risk countries.
With the new <x0) dark red” color, it will mark areas that are mostly affected by coronary.
“This [colored] reflects a high level of infection, which partly relates to a new version of the Coronavirus”, Didier Reynders, EU Justice Commissioner, told reporters.
Also, with new measures from the European Commission “strongly encouraged all trivial trips”, while additional measures must be implemented for important trips.
“Testation will be mandatory for all travellers entering the EU, including those on so-called important trips. The PCR test for EU entry should not be older than 72 hours”, said Interior Commission Ylva Johansson.
She said that additional regulations, including propertyisation, quarantine and monitoring of contacts up to 14 days, should be implemented for travelers coming from third countries, where the circulation of the new strain of the virus is visible.
The dark red area, which records infections from the new type of coronary, will be updated every week on the EU epidemiological map by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
The European Commission also proposes to avoid travel to these areas, but says that if travel is necessary, pre-retire testing will be required in the dark red area and quarantine after returning dealt with people working in those areas.
A new version of the choreography that has emerged in several EU countries has been first detected in the United Kingdom.
This option has been said to spread faster.
