Her publisher Mike Pingel announced on Sunday evening that Roberts' partner Lance O'Brien had said she was dead.
In a phone call Monday morning, O'Brien told CNN he was terrified after saying goodbye to Roberts in bed and leaving the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre believing it would be the last time he saw him, Periscope follows.
But he was notified by the hospital that Roberts was still alive, according to Pingel and O'Brien. They said it was coincidence that O'Brien was doing an interview with Inside Edition when the hospital called.
I'm very happy,” said O'Brien when he got the call.
Roberts was hospitals in Los Angeles on December 24 after she collapsed at her house in California while walking her dog. It remains in critical condition.
