Political parties have filed nine appeals with January 23rd, a day after the CEC meeting, where even the latter did not challenge many candidates, according to the Constitutional Court's decision.
The Constitutional Court had ruled that no candidate who has been sentenced to firm verdict, within the last three years, cannot become an MP.
V V, AAK and NISMA are the parties that have complained at PZAP.
But this independent institutions may decide earlier on appeals that have surrendered within the legal deadline.
Based on the law in power, The PZAP consists of ten members, including the leader, who comes in line from the judges of the Supreme Court of Kosovo and other members who line up with the judges of the Court of Appeals and Foundation Courts of Kosovo.
PZAP may meet in separate sessions with at least three members, but on issues of particular importance, the leader of PZAP could create a panel that would consist of nine members of this institution. There, decisions are made by majority of votes.
The law clearly specified that PZAP's decisions are binding for the CEC.
Currently, leader of PZAP is Shukri Sylejmani.
