The chief executive of this institution, Burim Ahmetaj, has said that from the current database there are 178,026 applicants from the diaspora.
The Central Election Commission has had to complete voter registration procedures outside Kosovo by 27 January, according to the operational plan for the 14 February elections. But Burim Ahmetaj, chief head of the CEC Secretariat, has said he expects these procedures to be closed Sunday.
We consider that we will soon complete these deadlines so that potentially Sunday we can give those who do not confirm it over the phone, or we may not be able to approach them over the phone give us at least a period in which they can call us on the phone with a view to confirming”, he said.
