So has the rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Violet von Cremon, praised the decision and invalid declaration of former MP Etem Arifi's vote.

Von Croamon in an interview for Klan Kosova.tv has declared that in the February 14th elections, he expects to have a high voter turnout.

The German Eurodeput hopes the elections will be held in a fair and free environment.

According to her, Kosovo's future government should work as hard as possible in a reform of many areas in Kosovo, where, according to her, there are serious problems, citing education and the health system.

As far as dialogue with Serbia is concerned, Von Croamon has demanded that any party that comes to power have continued communication with the opposition, Kosovo reports.

Kosovo's EP rapporteur has confirmed that more work must be done about visa liberalisation to get support from countries that do not support Kosovo so far.

Total interview:

How did the Kosovo Constitutional Court comment on the decision to bring down the government headed by Avdullah Hoti?

Violet von Cromon: The Constitutional Court's decision should be respected, regardless of whether the decision itself is good or politically bad for any of the parties. Of course, this causes even more instability, but the question is now what comes next, unfortunately, is not clear whether past instability can be resolved.

Do you think Kosovo politicians should work harder this year in terms of dialogue with Serbia?

Violet von Cromon: It is crucial to be a very stable government after the elections. This is a precondition not only for dialogue with Serbia, but also for better governance in Kosovo. And whoever forms the government, it is important to make sure that the dialogue will continue on what has been achieved so far.

They must draw the expertise they already have, they should not start all over the dialogue. The next government, whoever it is, should make sure they are in constant dialogue with the opposition. Any agreement with Serbia can only succeed if supported by all parts of Kosovo society.

How do you see the work of the Government of Kosovo regarding visa liberalisation and should more work be done on this issue?

Violet von Cromon: The government should try to convince those EU member states, which so far hesitate in this respect. Most importantly, France is one of several countries that has concerns. The Kosovo government should engage in a dialogue with them and try to address their concerns and prove to them that they have wrong thoughts, this may be a better way to approach it.

Do you think that the frequent change of government in Kosovo makes the country passive in terms of European integration?

Violet von CromonOf course it doesn't help. But it's not just about European integration. It's about Kosovo's way of governing, no matter what the EU says. Kosovo needs to be reformed in a number of areas, there are serious problems and it needs a stable government to develop programmes, send laws to a functional decision, and then implement those reforms.

There are serious problems in education or the health care system, and there is much to do! And it is very understandable that no government can implement important reforms within a few months, but they should try their best, they should make sure they propose new laws and at least vote for those bills. As we saw in the case of the COVID-19 relief package, parliament was unable to vote on it for a long time. That is what prevents Kosovo.

What do you expect from the February 14th elections?

Violet von Cromon: These are extraordinary times. It will certainly be very difficult to organise elections in the middle of the pandemic, and unfortunately, there will now be no complete mission for monitoring elections by the EU. I hope that even under these circumstances there will be a high voter turnout and I hope that elections will be in a fair and free environment, without fear of voters or any other problem.
