During a visit to the rapid testing point at the “city of Student”, the minister announced that the vaccine against coronavirus in Albania would continue, while not yet knowing when the supply of doses from Pfizer company will arrive.
“We have begun vaccinating more than 500 hospital doctors and nurses and the vaccine will follow, as we have also guaranteed the continuation of the vaccine doses through contract with Pfizer and also through COVAX, where we have prepaid $4 million and expected the first supplies to come in February.
The vaccine is a more weapon for the defeat of this virus, but we must parallelly proceed with increased vigilance, so that we can control the epidemic situation in the country”, Minister Manastirliu said.
