The first New Year in the world was celebrated in Samoa and Island (Christmas Island) in Kiribati. The islands waited 2021 at 11: 00 a.m. according to the Central European Clock (CET).
After Kiribati and Samoas, New Zealand and Fiji entered New Year's at 12:00 (CET).
Sky Tower in Auckland was lit with special lights for the New Year's Eve. Festivals were also held at the port area at Wellington.
The place that will finally be hosting the New Year will be American Samo in the South Pacific.
