Two correcting officials in Mitrovica's Para-burging Centre suspended

Kosovo's Correcting Service has announced that last night around 7:00 at the Mitrovica Pre-burging Centre, as a sign of disappointment with the court's decision, two prisoners have damaged the shutter and room window, then managed to climb high over the peak of the Mitrovica Paraburg Centre.

After many demands, their main request has been, that they are dissatisfied with the tribunal, with the cases seeking to negotiate with the prosecutor, and after talking with the prosecutor in the presence of the police and responsible deputy director of the USKK, Rasim Selmani, the same have agreed to come down”, the report said.

Due to this case, the SKK has ruled out two correcting officials, until the suspension has come due to suspicion that corrective officials during the official task have violated institutional security procedures.

In regard to the case, the Kosovo Correcting Service has initiated disciplinary procedures and has appointed the Interior Investigative Commission, which will investigate the case as a whole.
