The caretaker doctor at the Emergency Clinic, Agron Citaku for Kosova Prees, says it has been a normal influx of citizens, compared to the previous years.
I can say that it's lucky compared to other years, because it's the smallest number of injuries. We have 13 wounded out of the pyrotechnics. And two cases that are a little bit heavier, there's one with the blind bullet wound, and one that's also with the pyrotechnics, but it's with the amputation of the lower hand. The other cases have gone home, yet two cases have remained for further treatment at KKUUK... at the moment we can say it is stable”, he stressed.
Chitaku adds that throughout the course of time, they have appealed to citizens to celebrate without weapons and pyrotechnic means, however, with injuries.
“Based on comparisons with other years at other times, I can say that impact has begun positively, because the number is smaller. We've had 40-50 minimum cases in the small room with more amputation, but what's been with the fatality with blind-fire guns we say”, he adds.
