Change Penal Procedure Code, officials with indictment will be suspended, provided trial in absentia

The incumbent, Selim Selim Selim Selimi, has made it known at a media conference.

According to him, the Code of Criminal Procedure as a document of particular importance that was adopted by the past legislature, but because of the distribution of the same Assembly, it has turned to the Ministry of Justice.

Selimi has clarified that in the changes made by public officials, in the case of establishing the indictment for criminal acts of corruption and misuse of official office.

Selimi added that the proposed provisions apply to all official persons charged with criminal acts of corruption.

“Support from the work of public officials, in the case of setting up charges for criminal acts of corruption and misuse of official office. The purpose of this proposal is to prevent further misuse of authority from being tested, the key to ensuring successful prosecution by these officials. The proposed articles apply to all official persons charged with corruption criminal acts, thus enabling the treatment and uniform approach to them no matter the function or tasks that can be exercised”.

As for the investigation and trial in the absence of criminal acts of petitioning crimes, he said all technical errors have been eliminated and that this proposal will be lived after the introduction of this Code into force.

Selimi argued that the Code will enable increased efficiency of law-enforcement organs in relation to the seizure of property acquired by criminal acts.

“Draft-kodi reviews in all provisions for the seizure of property benefits acquired with criminal acts, harmonising these provisions with the new Law on the expanded competencies of property seizures, with which we appreciate that through these changes the efficiency of the law enforcement organs will increase in relation to the seizure of property acquired by criminal work”.
