The CEC has announced that by the end of yesterday, 120 thousand registration applications have been introduced into the system, while about 44,000 have been approved.

“According to the data we have from the voting service there are 41,000 unopened e-mails. Only after the end of this entire period of examination, evaluation and verification of apps will we finally have a detailed report where we will know exactly what the number of applications to register as voters abroad will be recorded successfully after meeting the” legal criteria, KEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has said about Telegrafi.

Elez further added that all citizens who register successfully as voters outside Kosovo would be able to vote via mail starting on February 2nd.

Under the Law for General Elections, balloting should be accepted by the CEC by 12 February.

Until January 25th, according to the noon report, at the call centre for confirmation and verification of apps, about 360,000 calls have been carried out, of them at about 30,000 applicants have confirmed their data, while about 6 thousand and 700 people have not started the phone. Next try will be made with the aim of verifying and confirming”, Elez added.

He pointed out that from the total number of callers, 47 people we contacted said are not concrete people, so they don't have the name, the last name, the birth date and the country, as in data from the recording app or have claimed that they didn't apply at all for registration to vote via mail.
