Himmin will no longer refer to Australia as the new and free “in trying to reflect the long and old indigenous history.
The announcement was surprising but welcome to the government.
Mr. Morrison said he hoped the change would create a “unity”, writes the BBC, translates Periscopi in Albanian.
People had lived in Australia for tens of thousands of years before it was colonized by the white English in the 18th century.
The string that will be removed in the anthem is “Because we're young and free.” Instead, people will sing “Because we're one and free. ”
