American Professor and expert for the Balkans Alon Ben Meir has said the new US president, Joe Biden, has a very strong relationship with the Balkans, and that would help him solve the problem between Kosovo and Serbia.
He has underlined the fact that Biden has visited the Balkans constantly, and knows the problems of the past two decades very well.
And in this context, as he writes, it is good for the EU to use this opportunity to achieve peace and stability in the region.

Given that President-elect Joe Biden has a long relationship with the Western Balkans, the EU needs to develop a strategy to work closely with the new administration, especially in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. Biden has been regularly in the Balkans and knows the problems of the past two decades very well. Brussels must defeat this golden opportunity for achieving peace and stability in the region.
