Latifi has said he should look for other ways, since he probably won't be allowed to run the VV list.

Some have said that politics is the art of possible. I don't remember who. But that saying is worth a lot now. That's because Kurt now has to look for another choice. This is not going to take part in the elections, he said.

Latiff has received a warning if Kurt is not allowed to participate in the elections.

“Albin Kurti does not leave the VV to participate in the election if it is not in the list. I have to say this. It will seek to destroy the electoral process if turnout is not allowed”, he added.

The Central Election Commission has not certified election lists of political subjects: Vetevendosje (VV), Social Democrat Initiative and Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) for early parliamentary elections on February 14th.

The Office for the Registering of Political Partys and Certificates recommended to the CEC that Certificate all candidates for MPs, who are within the electoral lists of political subjects.

This proposal, according to the director of this office, Yll Buleskaj, has come as a result of confusion at the “q” Article 29 of the Law for General Election, which prohibits the running of convicted persons in the last three years.

Buleskaj has stressed that the office he runs has proposed that all candidates be certified, allowing space for complaints later.

But that was rejected by most members of the CEC, who decided to vote one by one for political subjects, as some of them had not replaced candidates for whom the Kosovo Judiciary Council (KGJK) had said they were not in line with Article 29 of the Law for General Elections.
