According to recent measurements the air quality meter in the center of the city, pollution is the polluted AQI PM2.5.
In this case of air quality, where red color has been presented, means that air is unhealthy.
The United States Embassy of America (SHBA) in Kosovo had installed an air quality monitor to measure pollution in Pristina's air, whose measurements are available to the public.
The air quality measure the amount of particles in the air, including dust, dust, soot, smoke, and liquid dots in 2.5 microna (PM2,5) and less measured in microgram by cubic metre. Such particles may be the result of the release of gases from cars and thermal power plants, or even in the event of events such as forest burning and may remain in the air for a long time. Particles of this size, for example. PM2.5 (1/30s of the average diameter of human hairs) present the greatest health risk. Scientific research has found the connection between long-term particles of pollution, especially with tiny particles and serious health problems such as heart and lung disease.
The goal of AQI is to explain what the air quality means to the health of the population.
