The Justice Party reports citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that for the first time in its 20-year history, I will not participate in the general parliamentary elections, which will be held on February 14th of this year”.
The only reason for this boycott is the assessment of the DP's headship that these elections will be neither fair nor democratic because they do not complete the judicial process against him after five years will not be able to participate, for the third time, the chairman of the court Prof's PD. Dr. Ferid Agani”
This inability is not defined with any legal but exclusively with the determination of President Agan to live in the country's political and institutional life, the highest ethical and moral values of the state leadership, which he has witnessed even with the immediate resignation from the minister's post following the establishment of the indictment against him”.
“The more than seven-year-old version of the justice system that gives the legal epilogue to President Agani and his failure and PD to compete with the country's leaders and other political subjects, present irresolute arguments of the fragility of the local judicial system that has deliberately or without it turned into a factor that determines political processes in the country and that in this case at least indirectly violates the political rights of membership and sympathies of the Justice Party<1>
For the Justice Party this unacceptable and unstable situation is extremely difficult because on the one hand it is committed to respecting and promoting higher ethical and moral standards in politics and governance, as well as building unconditional trust in local justice institutions, while on the other hand as a political subject has faced political victimisation without any guilt proven by judicial process”.
This party through an announcement has asked how many elections the party's chairman will not participate.
“Spurses even at how many elections should President Agani not compete equal to other political leaders awaiting the final epilog of the legal process against him? Even as long as I have to wait for the membership and sympathies of the Justice Party to have the right to vote and elect their party chairman in the election race from the constitutional and legal perspective should be equal and without any discrimination by any participants”.
“The Justice Party has so far done no public political action that would violate the integrity of the legal process to its chairman, but considers that the illegal and unacceptable delays of this judicial process represent the interference of the justice system in the democratic political processes in the country”.
The Justice Party requires that the country's merit institutions prevent future situations and that the judicial process against its chairman be completed as soon as possible, always in accordance with law”.
The Justice Party requires its membership and supporters to continue believing and engaging in the construction of the DP's top political ideal, victory of justice in society and state”.
“At the same time, the DP's leadership announces the opinion that any political engagement during the election campaign on behalf of the Justice Party presents fraud and will be subject to constitutional procedures”.
