Israel is currently among the leaders in the quick campaign for anti-cronervirus vaccine. Citizens began taking their first doses on December 19th.
Each week, Israelis send information to Pfizer about the population's vaccine campaign, in line with the co-operation agreement that can help other countries adjust their ways and the pace of the vaccine.
Experts from HMO Maccabby said these are preliminary data, and that numbers are encouraging.
More than 2.6 million Israelites have received the first dose of vaccine so far
Of 20 infected persons, half of them suffered from chronic illness. All showed only slight symptoms, such as headaches, coughs, general weakness, and fatigue, but none of the vaccinated were hospitalised or had temperatures higher than 38.5 degrees.
Anat Eka Zohar, director of the Department of Information and Digital Health at HMO Maccabi, said the service will continue to monitor the same patients to determine whether they still have only mild symptoms or if they have complications.
More than 2.6 million Israelites have received the first dose of vaccine so far, and about 1.2 million have been vaccinated with both doses.
Israeli authorities report about 600,000 cases of coronary and 4,478 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
