It's been more than six months since our country's citizens, as they are facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
Apart from health institutions, this virus, which continues research by science, has largely burdened the economic aspect, apart from the private sector.
Still, there is evidence of how many citizens have remained unemployed, while others are continuing to work by implementing rules imposed by the Government, which have become binding following the adoption of the anti-Condavid Law.
That's what Ekrem Kastrat says about Indexline, chief inspector of the Labour Inspectorate.
At this time, pandemic workers are certainly working in more dangerous conditions, with all of which are largely respecting IKSHP rules and advice, as in wearing masks, disinfecting locals, disinfecting hands, and maintaining social distance of at least 2m each other.
To a greater extent, measures against David-19 apply. We, the labour inspectors, have regularly worked in collaboration with the state inspectors, market inspectors and Kosovo Police in monitoring the implementation of government decisions and in overseeing the implementation of measures defined by the Anti-Cavid -19 Law by employers and employees”.
Even in the first half of this year, there were cases of accidents at the end, resulting in three workers still in serious health. Which Kastrati says are the same cases in procedure.
Over the last few days, there have been three cases of accidents in the workplace that have sustained three workers. One case has occurred in Pristina, one in Gjakova and one in Fushe Kosova. The three cases are in procedure, being handled by the Labour Inspectorate. Their state of health is still heavy”.
Otherwise, in the first six months of last year's workplace, six workers died, and this year, 5.
