Dutch lawyer Julius Von Bonne today became an important character at the first special Tribunal trial session in The Hague. He, with his client, former KLA superior Salih Mustaf, appeared for the first time in this courtroom with significant warning.
Julius Von Bonne has said he could file motions that would aim to oppose the jurisdiction and legitimacy of the Special Court, while stressing that today's presentation of this court hearing does not mean that he and his client accept this court as such.
Who is Julius Von Bonne?
Julius Von Bonne is a member of the Rotterdam Bar Association. He has been a general lawyer in this city of Holland for 18 years.
Von Bonne has dealt with many kinds of customers and problems during this period. In 2014 he began volunteering to deal with the problems of the people of Crosijk. By 2015, he has a free consultancy hour at Bouthuis de Branding.
Von Bonne prefers to call himself “avic of the neighborhood”, while protecting the organisation of Crocik residents, mainly protecting and advising those who have financial problems and tenants who are victims.
The two subjects with Von Bonne's special attention are the condition of tenants who are victims and counseling on debts. Julius constantly protects people with these problems and is regularly on trial.
The special accused, Salih Mustafa, has agreed that Julius Von Bonne is his lawyer during this trial.
At the hearing before Judge Nicolas Guillou, Salih Mustafa has refused to plead guilty. He said he needs time to discuss with the lawyer.
