Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq has said before the UN General Assembly (General Assembly of UN) that Belgrade believes dialogue will be able to reach a solution to the Kosovo issue, but that it will never accept humiliation.
At the 75th annual session of the UN General Assembly, for the first time held virtually, with talks recorded by heads of state or government, Vuciq said the starting point in dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina should not be “downward and unacceptable” for Serbia, which represents Kosovo's independence.
“We believe that after a long and difficult dialogue, a solution can be reached, but make sure that Serbia will never accept humiliation”, the Kosovo Clan broadcasts.
Nothing is acceptable to us who is not a compromise with which both sides should be equally satisfied or disappointed,” said Vuciq.
He praised that the first step is to renew dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina under the auspices of the EU, after 20 months of stagnation, but he also outlined the latest signing of the Washington Agreement between Serbia and Kosovo on normalising economic relations as a major step forward, Danas reports.
