Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq met on Monday with the patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Irinej.

In a communiqué issued by the presidency of Serbia, which the Balkan Service of Free Radio broadcast, Vuciq briefed the patriarch for talks with Kosovo, which were held earlier this month in Washington and Brussels, as well as for his talks with world leaders.

Vuciq and Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti have signed on 4 September at the White House, an agreement on normalising economic relations between the two countries.

The deal was signed in front of the American president, Donald Trump.

After the meeting in Washington, Hoti and Vuciq met on 7 September in Brussels, where they have announced that they have opened discussions on the Association of Serb majority municipalities in Kosovo, as well as on property and financial issues.

According to the Serbian Presidency's announcement, Vuciq and Irinej also talked about the position of the Serb people in Kosovo, Montenegro, Croatia, Republika Srpska and other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
