As the world continues to fight against COVID-19, researchers are working at a fast pace to find a cure for the disease. Now, eight people have lost their lives in the northern state of Sudan due to an unknown fever, the Sudan Ministry of Health has discovered.
The ministry received a report Saturday concerning 41 cases of fevers in the northern state, including eight deaths,”, said in the statement.
A medical team has been sent to investigate cases and attempts to identify the disease, which has caused deadly fever.
<x0 mics were taken for laboratory testing to confirm diagnosis and strengthen interventions to prevent and control the disease,” is further said in the statement.
Sudan doctors and experts expect the fever to be found in the polluted flood waters that plunged large parts of the country in recent weeks. Lasting water has the ability to begin outbreaks of deadly diseases such as cholera, malaria, or dengue fever.
The deadly disease has already infected over 13,000 people in the North African country, as more than 830 people have lost their lives, according to recent reports.
Now, the arrival of an unknown new disease can cause serious difficulties for the country. It will be interesting to see what happens in the near future. An effective vaccine for the new coronary is expected from the first quarter of 2021.
