Health Minister Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Oweis said the vaccine could be used in <x0 emergency <x0).
He said the decision was taken after the third phase of the vaccine testing has not shown side effects, but has proved it creates antibodies.
The minister said 31,000 volunteers, representing 125 nationalities, have participated in clinical trials.
Sinopharm Company CNG, headquartered in China, developed the vaccine and carried out the third phase of clinical trials, along with Government in Abu Dhabi and artificial intelligence firm G42 Healthcare, based in the United Arab Emirates.
The United Arab Emirates have recorded over 80,000 cases of Coronavirus infected and 399 victims.
Over 29 million people have been affected worldwide.
Of them, over 925,000 have died and nearly 20 million have recovered.
According to the World Health Organization, about 180 potential anti - coronary vaccines are currently being tested in the world. /rel
