Former Minister for Dialogue Edita Tahiri has declared that Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has offered the position as co-ordinator of the dialogue before appointing Skender Hysen in the role.
The prime minister has offered me to be a co-ordinator of dialogue, before Skender Hyseni was elected in this position, but I have rejected it because I wanted it to be done with the approval of the Kosovo Assembly, so that I could have clear legitimacy and competence for this”, Tahiri told public television.
According to her, no matter how much economic agreements are being discussed there will be political agreements. The Kosovo delegation should have it clear that economic agreements are reached as agreement between the two states.
“Delegation has no mandate to sign something that violates Kosovo's citizenship, I am convinced that positive steps will be taken at this meeting, in Washington”, Tahiri said, adding that Serbia must become clear that there is no EU membership without knowing Kosovo.
