The Prosecutor's Office specialised at The Hague said some activities in which the Association of Kosovo Liberation Army Veterans is involved “are meant to undermine justice management properly“.

Three times this month, the KLA's OVL has said it has accepted some documents, claiming it concerns the Special Court for War Crimes in Kosovo.

The contents of these documents are not clear and are not known if they are original.

The identity of the person, who, according to the OVL, has sent to this organisation <x0 thousand witness files and witness names”, continues to be anonymous.

The Prosecutor's Office specialised in The Hague, meanwhile, has launched investigations into the “flow of these alleged confidential documents.

In a statement to the media, issued Tuesday by the spokesman of the Specialised Prosecutor's Office, Christopher Bennett, it is said that this “office is committed to vigorously investigating and prosecuting individuals who commit such crimes, including publishing the identity of individuals who might be called before the tribunal or any information that could lead to their identification“.

“During this time I have also noticed the commendable professionalism and ethical integrity of Kosovo journalists and other public commentators, many of whom have clearly spoken about how such activities undermine rule of law and the course of justice“, Bennett said.

The Special Chambers of Kosovo or, as they are known, the Special Court deals with the investigation into alleged war crimes of members of the former Kosovo Liberation Army.

The Special Court headquarters is in The Hague.

So far, she has invited hundreds of former KLA participants to interview, either as witnesses or as suspects.

In July, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has also been interviewed in The Hague.

Similarly, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office has announced that, in April, it has filed an indictment for war crimes and crimes against humanity against Thaci, the head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Kadri Veselin, and some others whose names have not been made public.

The judge has six months, from April, to confirm or reject the indictment.

The prosecution has filed charges for review in February.
