American expert on Balkan issues Daniel Serwer has a warning to Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vucinq.
Serbia will be in a difficult position unless it recognises Kosovo, American expert on Balkan issues Daniel Cerwer has declared.
“If you do not recognise Kosovo, it will put Serbia in a difficult position. It will be faced with the continuing nationalist trending problem, and this could be an obstacle to EU membership”, Cerer told Al Jazeera Balkans, broadcast news.
He explained that “Vucic could require something from the EU in exchange, perhaps he would require money from the US, or perhaps faster EU entry”.
Serwer does not think the exchange of territory, protected by the former close adviser to Trump, John Bolton, is a good idea.
The exchange of territories would lead to ethnic cleansing, not only in Serbia and Kosovo, but also in Bosnia and Macedonia, and that could affect Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine ... Why would we do that?
