With Serbian flags on balconys, 58 Serbian families accepted the keys to the residences and returned to northern Kosovo, exactly in the municipality of Leposaviqi.
Djuric's deputy, Petar Petkoviq, and Serbian List MP Slavko Sim enemies also attended the ceremony.
But, as RTK writes, this seems to be only the beginning of Serbia's plan for the return of Serbs to northern Kosovo.
Project known as “The Valley of the Sun” in Zvecan municipality now appears to be moving toward completion. Over 1,000 other Serb families are expected to be deployed there.
A day after handing over 58 keys to Serbian residents to the Leposaviqi municipality, works on the return of Serbs to the northern part are continuing in the area known as the Valley of the Sun. Within weeks, at the sites under sight, thousands more Serbs are expected to be deployed.
Work had begun in March 2019. But when it's been more than a year since then, everything is moving towards finalisation.
Excavors are continuing to work intensively, while in addition to houses, Serbia's government has helped build collective residences.
This situation is becoming unacceptable, for Albanians living in the northern part.
“The Albanians on the other side are on the other side, they can't do it on their own lands, for Serbs without legal treatment are built objects, and very soon they'll come with the banu”, says Arsim Padada from Suhodol.
All works were performed by Albanian companies, while investments by the Government of Serbia are expected to continue.
This is just too close to being finished, very soon these people believe that before the new year are settled. That's where you haven't even been between Pristina”, Paqarada says.
At a fast pace, Serbs are continuing in other objects.
But the situation on the Albanian side is quite different.
In Croin of Vitak, Albanian homes have remained intact for six years now. Albanian residents insist they will not leave the area, but have sharp criticism of the institutions.
RTK on this subject has requested clarification from the government, if there is permission for these construction in the northern part, but no response has been received.
A statement of the situation there had given Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti weeks earlier.
We know we have difficulties in that part of the country, but the law is one for the south as it is for the north, so we will not give up trying to extend our sovereignty in that area of”, Hoti said.
Construction of an Orthodox Church has also begun in the area known as the Valley of the Sun in June.
