Regional water company “Pristina” has warned that by the end of this month plans there will be no reductions of drinking water.
CRU chief executive chief Pristina “, Sokol Xhafa, in an interview for Online Economy said that by 15 August there have been no reductions, warning that by the end of this month, water supply reductions will be completed in all areas.
There were no reductions at all. And from August 15th, we started with the application of light reductions only in the night period, which means only between 12 and midnight by four o'clock in the morning to stop the urban water. Now over 60% of Pristina's supply has been restored 24 hours. Even this four hours overnight has been eliminated”.
“While rural areas will continue with two weeks of reductions. We hope that by the end of this month, even temperatures will be reduced because we are forced to reduce water supplies to preserve our resources and prevent abusers who are jeopardising the system's sustainability. We think that by the end of this month we will complete water supply reductions in all areas of”, he added.
According to him, Badovci Lake and Batislava have suffered a drop in water levels in the absence of rainfall. He points out that there have been no complications putting the plant on Shkaby.
The subx0> Part of the impact of drought or lack of rainfall, especially on the Kosovo plain, has also affected two of our accumulated lakes. The current level we've received from the data that monitors 24 hours of Badovci marks a 9.7m drop from passing times, while Batala Lake is 3.87m below the crossing level. Of course the levels aren't right”
“Of course Badovci has an extremely disturbing level and drought has made his own. We've managed to manage this part very well because of the Shkaby plant. But we hope that the drying period will pass, and then during the winter season eventually come the rains and fill our lakes. The reductions have been banned by August 15th of this year”.
Pandemia has also caused problems for this company, for the fact that they are also paying a 2.8m-euro loan from the German Bank.
Among other things, he added, we are making capital investments in urban and rural areas aimed at providing drinking water.
And we as a company were hit a lot because they were in the field and they were affected by the pandemic despite the measures we took with all the recommendations that IKKPK gave and the lack of rainfall that hasn't occurred since a daily time and challenge is the amortification of older assets because we as companies are paying the credit from the German Bank at 3 million euros or 2.8 million euros<1>.
The company's management with staff is trying to do everything we can to overcome these challenges. We as a company also made meetings with the Water Exchange in Turkey a month ago and took vows that would raise human or professional capacity. We are making capital investments in urban and rural areas with our teams, with the aim of securing drinking water supply”.
