He has been sentenced to life imprisonment by former Kosovo Police Chief Shefki Spahiu, charged with serious murder and evidence manipulation.
According to the conviction pronounced Thursday, at the Constitutional Court in Prizren, it has proved that the accused has committed the criminal acts he is charged with, reports “Justice Trust”.
The ruling in question was made by the trial panel led by Judge Ayser Skiner, with members of Judge Artan Sajran and Kicaj.
Spahiu is also tasked with paying the Gymbals in the amount of 650 euros, as well as with compensation for crime victims in the amount of 50 euros.
Otherwise, on May 31, 2019, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Prizren has filed charges with police official Shefki Spahiu, with the argument that the same, on March 17, 2019, in Suhareka, in a casino located on the way to the District, with the goal of gaining wealth deliberately and sly, is the life of the casino worker, Jetmir Aliaj.
According to the accuser act, Spahiu after staying in the casino, suddenly exploiting the trust and sincerity of Jetmir Aliaj, had slyly pulled out the brand's gun “Glock”, which he was willing to strike and from a distance of 1 meter had shot at the front of his head, causing the victim's death.
With these actions, he is accused of committing criminal work “severe murder”.
While according to the second point of the indictment, Spahiu is accused of entering the chamber, where the cameras of the casino were located, and had destroyed, damaged and hidden evidence, with the aim of unable to access evidence in official procedure.
The indictment reports that the policeman had taken two computer lodges, moving and detoxing cables, two UPS, and all of these were placed in the trunk of the vehicle that he parked behind the casino, where after leaving this evidence had thrown into the Tapluha River, at the entrance of the Neprebish village of the Suhareka municipality.
By these actions, he is accused of committing criminal work “manipulation with evidence”.
