According to Ramosj, cutting off decan-Plava works is deliberate and damaging tourism

The mayor of Decani, Bashkim Ramosaj, has said in an interview for Online Economics, that this municipality does not have only one context with specific areas, but that it says this path is in the best interests of the state because of the potential it has.

And the disorder of this road, according to him, is discriminated against for the residents of this side, saying this municipality has the only hope, the construction of this road.

The “Decani has not only one context with the specific protected zone, which is sanctioned by a law adopted in the Assembly in 2008, three days after the declaration of Independence. In this case, the road conflicts with a law for specific areas protected by the sanction character of this law”.

Vulnerative to the citizens of Decani, developmental concept, and also a host of other conflicts that are totally special to deal with those areas there, and the decision of the Non-Decan Constitutional Court is sometimes mixed with the topic of the road. The topic of the road is a particular topic, and other conflicts, whether the construction of the River or the Constitutional decision, whether National Park, are separate themes. We have started building this road outside the particular area to send to the final part of the project, which is the border with Montenegro”, he says.

Although the work had gone well, the first of Decani says that the ban on the work on this road, as such works are being done contrary to the Law on Special Areas.

He says setting up this five-mile road would take only five days.

“Works have been carried out in most of this segment, the second company has opened the container but has stopped the work because of the project's non-resistance and we've come to this five-mile area that's within the particular area”.

In this area, we started about a month and a half ago to make the renovations of this road, the expansion of the road, the protective walls, and so on, and when we've come to the final stage we've got a reaction from the Decani Monastery, as if we're against the Law on Special Zones. In this case my insistence has been to continue this path because there are still five days left to end overall within this area, but then there were reactions in the state, embassies, etc.”, he said.

Ramosaj has called this topic deliberate, while saying this ban will harm the tourism sector in this municipality.

Nothing on this subject is unintentional. It is a goal to itself, bad and negative, and our idea is to promote the economic development of this municipality and also to have a well-being for the citizens of Decani, but all of Kosovo, given the greatest potential in the tourism sector, the state of Kosovo has it in Decani because of its resources and potential, and now we are in this situation that is completely contradictory for the time”.

And let's not forget that Decani has the only hope, the construction of this road, the only park, the Bess and the Nemun, and we're trying to make sure that everyone who else will be able to operate our family economies”, he said.
