Raka: The risk of infection in schools exists, but for every possible scenario there is a decision

The chairman of the Counseling Board in the Anti-COVIID-19, Lul Raka, has talked about the pandemic situation in Kosovo, the second wave of confronting pandemic, the opening of theatres and cinemas, and the opening of schools in the Republic of Kosovo under pandemic conditions. Raka has said that opening schools has been [...]
Raka has said that the opening of schools has been among the priority points during this time of confronting pandemic, placing it in the category of essential services, equal to health, police and food supply.
Protocols for restarting learning have been drafted, meanwhile, as Raka said any possible scenario is on the table.
There are more than 10 arguments to reopen schools. Everyone has their share of responsibility. The operational part is in the municipality. The normal decision the Government makes, in co-operation even in consultation from the beginning, has been with municipalities. Of course, the principle has been to implement preventive measures. If he was 40 students in one classroom, he wouldn't teach 40 students. There will be reduced numbers, protocols have been drafted, they are available recently. Every possible scenario is on the table, now the implementation part will make the municipalities even schools, teachers, students and parents all together”, Raka has said of a Kosovo media medium.
Raka said that despite the measures taken, the risk of infection in schools exists, but in spite of that, the decision is to each possible scenario.
“If there is a case where a school is not well prepared, not to start at all, but only at that school to make arrangements, not to shut down Kosovo, not all schools”, Raka said.
Infectologist Raca also mentioned two adverse elements, which is the large number of cases of infection and if there is not enough testing in the community.
We've had a lot of numbers since the beginning of August, and at the end of July, if we had these numbers today, there wasn't a school drive, because there were over 10 cases. But with the decline, the danger exists, but if everyone does their share of responsibility, even if students and teachers as well as us as a people, because those children from home go to school because 80 percent of the infections are taken home. And this increases the responsibility of young people, who have increased greatly in the last two months around the world, and who should be conscious of protecting others”, Raka said.
