Avdullah Hoti:
More professionalism in managing public water companies
Today I attended the meeting of the Interministerial Council for Water, attended by the Minister of Economy and Environment, Blerim Kuci, Finance Minister Hikmete Bajrami, Health Minister Armend Zemaj, Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Besian Mustafa, and Switzerland's Ambassador Thomas Kolley and Germany's deputy ambassador, Jan-Axel Voss. In this case, forgiveI dreamed of donor countries, apart from Switzerland and Germany, that helped develop the water sector in our country.
From board management of public water companies, I've asked for more professionalism, separately in some companies where the situation is not good in terms of investments, as well as investments. In this context, I asked that a detailed analysis of the current investments in the water sector be made, to see the performance of public companies in the water sector, to consider the possibility of creating a joint co-ordination body of water companies, and to review the working regulation of the Inter-ministerial Council, after its expansion with the Minister of Health and Agriculture.
