US President Donald Trump said on Sunday he would demand that his Democrat challenger for the November 3rd elections, former Vice President Joe Biden, take the drug test before or after their debate this Tuesday evening.
He suggested that Mr. Biden's incompatible performance in previous political debates was an indication that he was drug addict. Mr. Trump's unusual accusation, which he filed earlier in recent weeks, comes as he continues to rank after Mr. Biden in national polls for several months.
“I seek strongly that “sleep” Joe Biden conducting drug test before or after Tuesday night's debate“, Mr. Trump wrote on Twitter.
“Of course I agree to do one too. His presentation in the debate has been a record of being out - of - doors to say so in a mild manner. Can only drugs have caused this?”, he wrote.
From last year until 2020, Mr. Biden was involved in a series of debates with other democratic contenders for winning the appointment of the Democratic Party as presidential candidate.
Sometimes it emerged weak during debates with 10 candidates listed together on a podium. But he appeared to regain the pace after a strong presentation in a face-to-face debate in March against Vermont Senator Bernie Saunders, his last opponent before accepting the official running for president on behalf of the Democrats.
Last month, Mr. Trump said: “You saw some of those debates with the greatest number of people on the stage. I said, "How is it that he can move forward? ' Honestly, his best presentation was against Bernie. We'll call for a drug test, by the way, because his best presentation was against Bernie. He wasn't like Winston Churchill, but it was a normal and boring debate. Nothing extraordinary happened. If you come back and look at some of those multiple debates, he was very bad. It wasn't even consistent. While against Bernie was”, Mr. Trump's post complete.
President Trump 74-year-old has often questioned Mr. Biden's mental keenness, 77. But Mr. Biden has often ironed out Mr. Trump's accusations and added him to Mr. Trump's level or higher during his debates.
Look at me, Mr. President, see what I say, what I do, what I know and what I'm”, Mr. Biden said during an interview for ABC News. But Mr. Biden admitted there are “legitimate questions” to be made about the state of mind of the two candidates.
In a pre-registered and aired interview Sunday on CNN, Mr. Biden's wife, Jill, said that “ai is nearly”.
“One of the things I'm excited about is when the American people see Joe Biden up there on that stage. They'll see what a president looks like. Someone who is calm, stable, strong, flexible“.
Jill Biden said there is a difference like “enta by day between the two candidates. I expect the American people to see that man in front of the American public”, she said.
President Trump and former Vice President Beden debate three times, starting with Tuesday's 90-minute moderate debate by Fox News journalist Chris Wallace in Cleveland's state of Ohio.
Mr. Wallace has chosen six topics for separate discussions in 15 minute segments: among them the results of the work of the two candidates, the Supreme Court, with the appointment by Mr. Trump of conservative lawyer Amy Coney Barrett, also issues such as COVID-19, the economy, the integrity of the elections”, as well as “gara and violence in American cities”
