PDK MP Ariana Musliu-Shoshi, in an interview for Online Economy has said that during February and March of next year, the president's position will be discussed. She has even added that the PDK will still have its own candidate. “When February arrives and March will discuss position [...]
She has even added that the PDK will still have its own candidate.
The “when the month comes February and March will be discussed for the president's position. We will still have our candidate. If it wasn't for the pandemic, I believe we as the Democratic Party would have taken the step of having elections. But given that we're in the pandemic and it's still a very high death rate, we don't view elections as the option now”.
MP Musliu-Shoshi commented on the ruling coalition, where to become part of it, she said it must establish the party's highest instances.
According to her, elections are the best option ever given the preservation of public health.
The “for coalition or to be part of the government will be placed in party bodies. So far we have not discussed at any meeting that we have had either the Headship or the General Council or the parliamentary group”.
I think the current situation in which we stand before the party's personal interest should be assessed and therefore make the decision as a party. Personally, I think elections are the best option ever by having the opportunity to preserve public health”, she said.
She has talked about managing the Coronavirus situation, adding that in this respect there is a lack of position-opposital co-operation.
And it's still unknown to us and to all the governments of the world and to us who are developing states. I think it could have managed better, but what makes us different from other countries is that they all cooperated with position and opposition. As long as I think that our political scene has used more for political points”.
She added that the annual holiday for MPs has not been needed at all due to the current problems the country has, reports EO.
I think the Kosovo Assembly was not supposed to go on vacation because it didn't start work when it had to, given the talks that have been for the coalition, then we had the government's collapse and very little time has it been that the Parliament worked”.
I don't think rest has been necessary at all because MPs have fired enough so it's more reasonable that we have to deal with the problems we have as a state and that the Government has with the bills that have come to the Assembly to be discussed on the commission than to go to an official” vacation.
