With the mediation of US Emissary Richard Greenell on Friday in Washington, the Kosovo delegation is expected to meet with the Serbian one within the dialogue aimed at eventual mutual recognition between the two countries.
Neither the Democratic Party of Kosovo attended the meeting, though the same was invited to join the dialogue.
Ferat Shala, deputy of this party, has said of Front Online, that Kosovo needs an interparty and inter-institution co-ordination for talks.
“We have expressed our position much earlier that preparations and interparty co-ordination and among institutionalities in Kosovo should become much better so that we can have a clear platform in the negotiation phase during the entire process in Washington”, he said.
According to him, Kosovo has gone to this meeting without full co-ordination, and without experts.
The former “is public that the Government of Kosovo has gone without full co-ordination, has gone with only the part of parties that are in power, and those with a kind of condition that does not go experts or specialists in certain areas but have gone with political, party representation. So this conglomerate of this team in the negotiations in Washington, doesn't promise and we don't expect the right results and expectations that should be for Kosovo”, he said among other things.
I am deeply convinced that even broad opinion knows that Kosovo does not have the right people because I said they went with party participation. So there was no debate about who and how to represent, but there have been ministers, other members of the Government, who may for the first time travel abroad, so I can exclusively say that the team is not prepared for serious themes in Washington”, he has declared for Front Online, adding that he does not expect mutual recognition from this meeting.
