Parliament still expected to vote on the Economic Recovery Bill

MPs from the Kosovo Assembly will try again during the day to vote in principle on the Economic Recovery Bill. Despite the fact that in the order of the day it was only the choice of the ombudsman to elect people by majority of votes that all bills that have remained open from past hearings were dropped [...]

This proposal came from LDK parliamentary group chief Arben Gashi.

“proposes the session after the ombudsman vote to repeat the open polls. Let's try to close the open cases. So I demand that after voting the ombudsman, we vote on the remaining issues from past sessions with priority Economic Recovery Bill”, he said.

Annie why it was agreed to get these points in order of day, LVV parliamentary group chief Rex Selimi addressed the majority to have the necessary votes, not the “beat them by not having the numbers in the Assembly.

We haven't even been against that day so that the MPs can vote the way they feel. Our approval to vote whenever the parliamentary group representing the majority here thinks we can do it. But maybe we should ask the LDK to do this not to test and prove, tired of us. But when they have the votes to prove, I'm hoping that this time they have the votes”, he said.

Meanwhile, PDK parliamentary group chief Bedri Hamza demanded that the vote be adopted by other bills that remain open.

If the unfinished points from past sessions are returned to the polls then to be correct, since we cannot say that this law is more important than the other, as each has its own importance. We demand that all unfinished points be put to the vote”, he said.

That was agreed with Teuta Haxhiu from the AAK.

“We also agree that all unfinished points will enter the polls today”, she said.

The Economic Recovery Bill has failed three times last week to be voted in because the ruling coalition has not had the necessary votes. The two opposition LVV and PDK parties have been contained in the vote on the bill.
