Kosovo Assembly Speaker Vjosa Osmani said today there is no alternative but dialogue, but called a serious mistake opening closed issues over the years with Serbia for internal regulation, which has already been declared no constitutional by the Constitutional Court.
She made these comments during a meeting with Norway's special representative, Arne Sannes Bjornstad, with whom she talked about co-operation between the two countries, with particular emphasis on interparliamentary co-operation and management of the situation with COVID-19.
Mayor Osmani thanked Bjornstad for helping and supporting Norway's state of state in the management of pandemic. They also discussed the immediate positive effects following the law's entry into force for preventing the fighting of the COVID-19 pandemic, directly influencing the improvement of the situation and therefore reducing the number of cases infected.
Special emphasis on current political developments in the country, especially in the dialogue process, has been placed on the meeting.
Mayor Osmani aimed at the need for full transparency through the whole process, and especially respect for commitments made before the Assembly and the citizens of Kosovo.
According to her, there is no alternative other than dialogue, but it is a serious mistake that already closed issues are being opened over the years, as well as internal regulation issues already being declared no constitutional by the Constitutional Court in the country.
“Legality, preparation, experience and achievement of political unity are the only formula for success in the” dialogue, Osmani said.
Both sides agreed that it is extremely important that this whole process be passed through the Parliament and make sure that the Assembly has an active role.
