The new director of the US Development Agency (DFC) in Belgrade will be John Jovanovic, an American citizen of origin from Serbia.
In addition to a successful career, the one in opinion draws attention because of marriage to the popular television host and once author Daphne Oz broadcasts Telegrafi.
During the Belgrade media conference, Jovanovic has said in the Serbian language that his appointment to the post of director of the DFC office has given him great responsibility, describing the new workplace as a once-in-a-life opportunity.
My “is the region's economic progress and for the Balkans to be a symbol of peace, prosperity and security. I first want to thank President Trump because he knew that the potential of the United States through economic co-operation would help Belgrade and Pristina find a reconciliation path”, he added.
He has resigned from his previous post Friday to go to Belgrade in order to launch his newest professional challenge. Earlier he was engaged in the Swiss company “Mercria Energy Group”, where he also was director.
It has also worked for the “Noble Group of Energy Capital & Organisation” in Hong Kong, for Deutsche Bank and the Serbian Agency for Foreign Investment.
In the face of a spectacular career, John is also known as the husband of Daphne Oz, the popular blogger, the face that often appears on TV and also is the daughter of the renowned American cardiosurgeon Mehmet Oz, also known as Dr Oz.
John and Daphne were married in 2015, and the wedding ceremony was held at Portland. John grew up in Chicago. His parents are Serb immigrants Nada and Sreqko, who have since moved to the US.
He completed his studies at Princeton University, until in Pennsylvania he performed his management, finance, and management training. With Daphen's host, she has four children.
