There will be no Nobel Prize ceremonies this year in Stockholm, and the reason is clear, pandemic. The Nobel Prize ceremony, for the first time in more than 50 years, has been cancelled because of the spread of coronary worldwide.
“Fittors will only be posted on the internet due to the pandemic”, - said today's statement by the Nobel Foundation, which manages the division of prestigious prices. The last time this ceremony was cancelled was in 1956, during the protest against the invasion of the Soviet Union in Hungary. The ceremony has also been cancelled during World War I and II. Prices for achievements in areas such as science, literature and peace were created and financed by the will of Swedish scientist and businessman Alfred Nobel since 1901.
