The next meeting between Kosovo and Serbia delegations is expected to be held on September 28th.
Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, confirmed Monday in Brussels that they have approached their positions on the issue of displaced and missing, as well as economic co-operation.
Following talks held between the two European Union-brokered delegations, leaders have said that within this dialogue, two topics have been opened -- the association of municipalities and the resolution of bilateral financial and property requirements.
Before the start of the talks, Hoti and Vuciq are pledging that they will give higher priority to integration into the European Union and continued work in the dialogue on normalising relations, mediated by the EU.
They made that pledge to EU High Representative Josep Borrell, said in a communique issued by the EU.
“They also pledged they would double their efforts to ensure further alignment with the EU, in line with their respective due obligations”, the statement said.
Earlier, Borrell, in a statement that has been distributed by his office, has warned that two issues that he has called <x0 sensitive” will open today in the dialogue, but “very important, more precisely property and financial requirements issues and arrangements for non-communal communities in Kosovo”.
