No masks in Sweden, new June decline continues

While Paris has made it mandatory to wear a mask on all roads, in Stockholm, it is rare to keep it in supermarkets, offices, buses, and subways.

Even though Swedish health authorities deem inefficiency effectively, they insist on respecting social distance and frequent washing of hands.

I think it's a little weird. In Sweden, which is a small country, they think they know better than the rest of the world”, points out Jenny Ohlsson, manager of an access store in the Swedish capital, where all kinds of colorful fabric masks are located.

Unlike measures imposed in the rest of Europe, Sweden has not limited its population and held cafes, bars, restaurants and open businesses, urging all “to take responsibility”.

Bilanci is incompatible with more than 5800 deaths and 84,000 cases, Sweden is among the relatively affected countries. But unlike many European countries that have known an increase in cases such as France, the Netherlands, Germany, or Belgium, data on Sweden has declined since June.

In the face of this trend, health authorities see no reason to change strategy, including masks.
