Friday was unusual for the KLA War Veterans Organisation because there were dozens of Special Court investigators in their offices to conduct raids that were followed by the arrests of the two leaders of this institution.
Initially in the early afternoons, the president of the KLA's OVL, Hysni Gucati, has been arrested inside the institution's offices, writes news.net.
Gucati has been taken out of his office by numerous Eulex police forces.
The reason for the arrest of the veterans' leader is not yet known, but the Special Tribunal has started yesterday's first arrests of war crimes indictees.
According to the first local media reports, today's raid on this institution has to do with publishing files that have come from the Special Court and fell into OVL's hands.
And within OVL's offices there was no Deputy Chairman Nasim Haradinaj present. He had initially declared he would not go to the office and that he does not surrender to EULEX.
I'm not going to the organization. I do not answer EULEX because they arrested Hysni Gucatin”, he had declared.
But later, Haradinaj has been detained near KLA's OVL offices by special investigators and has refused to be arrested by the latter.
Haradinaj has been arrested at his request by Kosovo Police officials.
Shortly before being arrested, Haradinaj has held a news conference where he has declared they do not recognise the Special Court.
“Representatives of this trial that we do not know have definitely admitted that this Court is not Kosovo, they told us we do not know politics, it is not in Kosovo and we do not ask them. If this isn't Kosovo we didn't recognize it. So now let everyone in your house calculate and see if those are the promises, do not play a role in political parties, or our promises that our MP has demanded to become a state and representative of the people.
