Through a media communique, KFOR has said the Hoti-Soltenberg meeting has been planned for a long time and does not relate to recent incidents such as Karacheva's.
“NATO and KFOR stress that KFOR's mission remains unchanged to maintain a secure environment and free freedom of movement for all of Kosovo's people under UN Resolution 1244. The meeting between NATO Secretary General and Mr. Avdullah Hoti is long planned and is not linked to recent specific incidents. NATO continues to support the EU-brokered dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, which is essential to regional stability and security”, is said in the KFOR communiqué.
Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti will meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at NATO headquarters in Brussels today.
Hoti has held the summit with Serbia's president, Alexander Vuciq, yesterday to continue dialogue between the two states.
